hi there, everyone! guess who has an increasing fear of the internet archive going down, autism, and way too much time on his hands!
if you've got a decent grasp on the walten files you can probably imagine what this is, but just in case, here's a lowdown; the walten files has an ARG portion that is now largely hosted on the internet archive due to the web pages being continuously written over. this is fun and spooky in theory, but it makes it largely inaccessible to newcomers and people that haven't been able to keep up. the effect is also ruined due to the fact that certain elements, like video and audio files, don't survive the conversion on to the archive. so to keep this part of the walten files preserved, i recreated it myself.
update: for the time being, i'm done!! this was a hell of an undertaking but i'm glad i did it, it was so much fun and the result is better than i even imagined. not all of it is perfectly 1:1 (believe me i know it more than anyone,) but i think i've fully gotten what i needed to across. if you have some suggestions or would like to offer help, or you find a bug that i missed, i'd love to hear about it!
